Once they come back you’ll have the locations of uncollected Power Moons marked on your map. Up to three amiibo can search for moons at once, and you’ll need to wait five minutes for them to return before you can scan another. Speak to him and you’ll be able to get him to scan any amiibo figure to search for a Power Moon location. From then on you can find him at the starting point of any kingdom once you’ve beaten the guided ‘story’ portion of it.
You can first encounter him once you’ve beaten the boss of the Cascade Kingdom, he’s the little roomba-like character who’s waiting near where you started the level. Uncle amiibo is your main port of call for amiibo use.
